Dr. Jo Ann Colson- Principal
I am so excited to be the new Principal at Decker Prairie. I come to Decker Prairie with 30 years of experience in Education. I received my Bachelor's and my Master's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. I received my Doctor of Education from Lamar University. I have taught students in grades Second to Seventh. My husband and I have two sons and a beautiful granddaughter. We live in the Magnolia area.
I believe great things are going to happen at Decker Prairie and I invite everyone to be an integral part of all of those things.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon!!!
Gigi Ragan- Assistant Principal
I am thrilled to be serving Decker Prairie as the Assistant Principal. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bilingual Endorsement from The University of Houston. In 2003, I earned my Master of Education in Language Arts with a Reading Specialist Certification from the University of St. Thomas; where I also completed my Principal Certification in 2008. Over the past thirty years, I have taught students Pre-Kindergarten to fourth grade either as a classroom teacher or a Reading Specialist. My husband and I have lived in the Tomball/Cypress area for over 25 years. We have two grown children who both attended Tomball schools. Our daughter graduated from Baylor University in 2006 and is a teacher in Tomball ISD and our son graduated from The University of Houston in 2013 and works in Tomball.
My goal is for us to work together as a team to provide a quality education where every child finds success through a positive and caring environment.
"School is a building that has four walls-with tomorrow inside".
I believe that the students of Decker Prairie Elementary are our tomorrow. It is truly an honor and privilege to be a part of building society's tomorrow with your child.
My name is Jody Luedde and I LOVE Decker Prairie Elementary! I began teaching 7th and 8th grade math and science at Rosehill Christian School in 2005. I went on to teach elementary school in Magnolia ISD for 8 years. After earning a Master's degree in school counseling, I became a Special Education Counselor in Magnolia working with students on two campuses. Currently, I am taking the extra courses necessary for earning a license in professional counseling.
My husband and I have a large, blended family (7 kids ranging in age from 4 to 18). When I am not in school, I love to go camping with my family (especially to San Elijo State Beach in Southern California).
I believe that all students are capable of success, and I am thankful to be a part of their journey!
