All About Miss Johnson

Welcome to PPCD! I am very excited to be the PPCD/PreK teacher at Decker Prairie this year!

Before coming to Decker Prairie I taught Developmental Special Education for TISD at Creekside Forest Elementary and also taught PreK and Second Grade and Pre-K for Aldine ISD.

Although we do not have any children at home we do have a German Shepherd that is spoiled rotten. His name is Dallas and he loves to play outside and go swimming!

I love having the opportunity to help build children's confidence and independence through learning and I enjoy helping them explore new topics and ideas! I am looking forward to a great school year!

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns at any point in the school year. My goal is to help your child be as successful as possible and that can only be accomplished through communication and teamwork between home and school.

I can be reached by email at StephanieJohnson@TomballISD.net or by phone at (281) 357-3134 X 3089.

Challenge Day and Water & Splash Day

Reminder!!!
Challenge Day is tomorrow! Please have your student wear shorts or pants with tennis shoes. We ask that they do not wear dresses, skirts or sandals as they will be running, jumping and occasionally crawling on the floor. I have all Challenge Day t-shirts here at school and we will be putting them on the students once they arrive at DPES. We did not want anyone to accidentally forget to wear the shirt and then be left out since we will all match. Parents will be asked to remain in the stands at Challenge Day and ALL students must return to campus with the class. You will NOT be allowed to sign your student out and take them with you from the high school. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we have to keep the safety of all students as the priority. With the large number of students who will be attending Challenge Day it was decided at the district level that no students will be signed out from TMHS. If you would like to sign them out once we return back to the school then that is up to you. Thank you for understanding!!

Water & Splash Day is Friday!!

We will be having an outdoor Water and Splash Day this Friday, May 27th. This will take place during our normal school day. We apologize in advance but family members are not allowed to attend since it is not a class party. We will be outside playing in shallow kid pools, sprinklers, throwing water balloons, using sidewalk chalk and chalk paint, having sponge relays and doing many other fun and WET activities! Please send a bathing suit to school with your student and we will have them change into the bathing suit prior to starting the activities. We will provide assistance with changing if necessary. Your child is to arrive at school in typical school day attire and he/she will change back into the same dry clothes before going home for the day. We do not want students to be in bathing suits coming to or going home from school. Please make sure you have sunscreen on your student before he/she arrives at school if you would like for them to wear it. We will not be able to provide sunscreen or put it on the students here at school. Please send a towel with your student and be sure that his/her name is written on the towel so it can be easily identified to make sure it goes home with them as well. Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
