I am Mary Endress. I am very excited and honored to join the Decker Prairie family. Before joining Decker Prairie, I served as an assistant principal for Wildwood Elementary here in Tomball ISD and McRoberts Elementary in Katy ISD. I also served for nine years as the Instructional Officer for Secondary ESL in Katy ISD. Prior to entering administration, I taught Spanish, French, English Language Arts and reading at Spring Oaks Middle School in Spring Branch ISD. In Ector County ISD, I taught elementary Spanish at Reagan Magnet School. I am in the final stages of completing a Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in bilingual studies from the University of Texas of the Rio Grande Valley.
My husband, Scott, and I have two grown children. Our daughter Marianne has recently completed 10 years of teaching in Spring Branch ISD. She will be taking a break from teaching to stay at home with her son and our first grandchild, Jackson. Our son Alex is a journalist for the oil and gas industry. I am a huge animal lover. We have two dogs and three cats.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Our students are my number one priority, and I am passionate about student success. My door is always open to you. Please stop by and introduce yourself to me.
