ONLINE REMOTE LEARNING

Dear Families,

Welcome to Miss Ryder's online classroom resources. I will be posting new weekly links to online learning activities aligned to the published district learning focus. I am excited to venture into this new learning experience with my students. I am here to support your child during this time, as questions may arise please know that I have dedicated Monday-Thursday from 11:30-12:00 to promptly respond to your questions through email at kendraryder@tomballisd.net It is my goal to have remote learning accessible for all students. I am here to help, please let me know if you need any additional assistance.

Hello parents!
I am so happy to have your student in my class this year!
This is my third year teaching, and I'm excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Decker Prairie again! I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2016 with my Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. I am currently pursing my Master's degree in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston State University.  I'm eager to work with you and your child this year, together we will have a successful school year and building a relationship with you and your child!

When I'm not teaching I love spending time with my family, especially my brother who is a SFA graduate (Eat Em Up Kats!!) Our sibling rivalry keeps things interesting in our family. Over the summer I bought my first house, spent time with my one year old Boston Terrier named Grace, planned my upcoming wedding for this coming summer when I will become Mrs. McDowell!   A few other things I enjoy doing in my spare time is crafting, painting, wood working, and vinyl. I am always available and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year (also be sure to sign up for remind!).  I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your child more as the year progresses.
It's going to be a great year!

Decker Strong, We Can, We Will!

Ms. Ryder

**If you haven't let me know if you are taking/keeping your child at school on Thursday, please send me a quick email to let me know. I have to confirm everyone's transportation that day regardless of whether or not they are staying or leaving after the party. If you take your child with you and are attending an older sibling's party at Decker that afternoon, the younger child can not come back on campus with you.
