Kindergarten / Home

I am so excited for the 2021-2022 school year to begin and to welcome each one of you to Decker Prairie Elementary.

My name is Kay Franklin and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement.  I have taught kindergarten in Tomball ISD for over 20 years.  My family includes my wonderful husband, our two sons and of course Maxey the dog.  I enjoy the beach, going to the hill country, and I love, love, LOVE shopping trips.  I can't wait to meet and learn all about my new students and their families.
