The school bus is in town and ready to bring boys and girls to kindergarten!  I am so excited for the 2018-2019 school year to begin and to welcome each one of you to Decker Prairie Elementary.

My name is Kay Franklin and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement.  I have taught kindergarten in Tomball ISD for 18 years.  My family includes my wonderful husband, Bill, our two sons and of course Maxey the dog.  I enjoy the beach, going to the hill country, and I love, love, LOVE shopping trips.  I can't wait to meet and learn all about my new students and their families.

Ready Rosie

A note from Mrs. Neff, our Reading Specialist:

This is an exciting year! You and your child have access to a new program called ReadyRosie through email or text.  It is packed with meaningful activities that you can do at home to support your child’s learning.  Through this program, you will discover activities and games by video, that you can play related to classroom learning.  You will be able to have more fun than ever with your child through meaningful interactions.

A letter was sent home in the Wednesday folder that asked you to complete the bottom with your name and address. By completing this form, you will be giving us permission to enter your address into the system so you may get the awesome emails from ReadyRosie.  You will be unable to receive the emails until you return the completed form.
