Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Hi! My name is Dorothy "Chris" Lane and this will be my 34th year to share my love of learning with kids. I am delighted that I get to spend this year at Decker Prairie with my friends and your children!

I was born and raised in Georgia where I graduated from Georgia College with a BS in Early Childhood Education. I have been blessed to teach Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades during my teaching career. This year I am excited to be back teaching with the wonderful third grade team!  I am also super excited to be team teaching with Mrs. Nicole Cook-Lidey!  We are looking forward to an exciting year!

My husband, Bruce, and I have been married for 33 years and we have one son, Christian. We had a busy and exciting summer which included a wedding and us gaining a new daughter, Katelynn!

I believe that positive parent/teacher communication is essential to the success of your child! The best way to contact me is to email me at dorothylane@tomballisd.net or you may call the school and leave me a message.

I am looking forward to this year as we each learn and grow and become the people that we are meant to be!

On Friday of this week the weekly fact test will be over the 10's.  Start studying!!!!
In Science we will be studying Push/Pull/Force.
