Decker Strong...We Can, We Will!

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year at DPES!  I am looking forward to an amazing school year.  Our theme: Adventure Awaits!
We will continue Great Expectations for ourselves as well as our students.  Information about Great Expectations can be found by clicking the following link:
This is my 6th year as the school counselor at Decker Prairie Elementary.  Before coming to Tomball ISD, I was an elementary teacher and special education counselor in Magnolia ISD.  My husband and I have a BIG, blended family (7 kids, ranging in age from 9 to 23 years old).  My oldest son is serving on a Virginia Class Submarine in The World's Finest Navy stationed in Hawaii.  My 2nd oldest son is a Construction Engineer in the U.S. Army currently stationed in Colorado.  I am extremely proud of their decision to serve our country.  I also have two sons attending High School and a daughter in 4th grade who proudly attends Decker Prairie Elementary!  As a family, we enjoy road trips across the country, pulling our camper and creating memories.  My daughter LOVES riding horses and caring for our animals (2 cats, 2 dogs and 4 fish).  My youngest son (a 10th grader) plays football and the piano (quite the combination).  His older brother (a senior this year) has a heart for helping others.  He plans on working as a medical professional after high school, and I have no doubt he will accomplish his goals.
I love working with students and families at DPES!   I am committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional learning of each student at Decker Prairie.  It is my belief that all students deserve access to a comprehensive and inclusive counseling program that meets individual needs as well as the needs of our school.  Please feel free to email or call (ex. 3076) with any questions.
