Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at DPES! This year we have Great Expectations for ourselves as well as our students. Information about Great Expectations can be found by clicking the following link:
Each morning students begin their day with our DPES "Call to Excellence". This is an interactive morning announcement where each teacher participates with a slide presentation of our Pledges, Decker Prairie Creed, Eight Expecations, Weekly Life Principle, Birthday Celebrations, Joke of the Day and a few other announcements.
This is my 4th year as the school counselor at Decker Prairie Elementary. Before coming to Tomball ISD, I was an elementary teacher and Special Education counselor in Magnolia. My husband and I have a BIG, blended family (7 kids, ranging in age from 7 years old to 21 years old). My oldest son is serving on a Virginia Class Submarine in The World's Finest Navy. My 2nd oldest son is a Construction Engineer in the U.S. Army. As a family, we are extremely proud of their decision to serve our country.
I am excited to be involved in the academic, social and emotional learning of each student at DPES. I love to visit with ALL students, learn their names and find time to give as many compliments as possible each and every day. It is my belief that all students should have access to a comprehensive and inclusive counseling program that meets individual needs as well as the needs of our school. Please feel free to email or call (ex. 3076) with any questions.
