*Reminder: To excuse an absence, please provide a handwritten note or a doctor's note with in 3 days of your child's return to school. Please include your child's name, teacher, grade level, and the days they were absent.

 

Any transportation changes need to be reported to the front office – and need to be made before 3:00. Also, for any transportation changes from day to day, there needs to be a note with the student name, transportation change, date of change, teacher name, grade lever, parent signature, and a parent contact phone number.

Ideas To Work On At Home:

  • Review identifying and sounds (when you practice everyday, you’ll remember everyday!)
  • Review sounding out words (i.e. shut, cat, slip, crab)
  • Review sight words - our readers are now getting into books with MORE sight words, please be sure to practice all words regularly at home as we continue to practice at school too. 
  • Review reading numbers 0 to 20, writing numbers 0-20 and representing numbers 0-20. 
  • Practice identifying one more than and one less than numbers 0-20. 
  • Continue to practice counting to 100 by ones - the more your practice, the more you’ll retain!

  • Library day is MONDAY , please remember to return books so your child can engage in new fun reading each week!
  • Upcoming informational text unit, please reference email sent on 1/7 if you would like to donate to our Kindergarten informational text unit
  • Please remember to update your child’s clothes in their backpack to winter clothes as our weather is shifting and we always want to be prepared as we know kindergarten learning is fun and sometimes messy!
  • Students need a water bottle and snack daily, please send your child to school with a snack to enjoy and a reusable water bottle.

Week of Dec. 13
